Marry, Date or Dump: Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite

K4.5Hera

I’ve been meaning to follow up my post on male Greek gods, with a marry, date or dump that lets you rank the goddesses for weeks, but I keep forgetting. So now, weeks after it was promised, is your chance to let me know who you would marry, who you would date, and who you would dump out of Hera, Athena and Aphrodite. Let me know in the comments and (as always) feel free to make substitutes!

Hera: Queen of the Heavens and Goddess of Marriage

Athena: Goddess of Wisdon

Athena: Goddess of Wisdom

Aphrodite: Goddess of Love and Beauty

  1. Athena would be hard to live with — always right. Dump. Aphrodite would always cheat on you. Date. Hera is no prize, but at least she understands what it takes to keep a marriage going. Marry — and never, ever cheat on!

  2. dump Aphrodite after Paris and Helen not too sure free will would exist in love with her – I have debated back and forth between dating Athena or Hera as Hera might be terrible to date as many of her better qualities stack up better for marriage – so I guess date Athena at least I would learn something and marry Hera but I could be talked into the other way around

  3. I’d marry Demeter-she knows how to keep the whole world in plenty and can empathize with grief and fear more than others. Date Nike-we’d have wonderful victories together at things, and then when she started to always win over me we’d break up. Dump Aphrodite-I don’t need to be the one in Mars’s way.

  4. Definitely date Aphrodite, since who else would be a better lover? Dump Hera because ain’t nobody got time for her jealousy issues. And marry Athena–we’d always have stimulating conversation and a love for learning!

  5. Dump Hera because if I even looked at someone else and we were dating, ten more seconds and I’d be turned into something unsavoury. Date Aphrodite, because she would be AWESOME as the goddess of love and all that, but also really likely to cheat. And that leaves marrying Athena, I guess.
