Top Ten YA Books I Read in 2013

toptentuesday

I’ve really tried to up my game in terms of reading more YA books this year. That’s what made this week’s top ten tuesday, hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, so difficult. It was (almost) impossible to narrow them down to just ten books. Anyways, here is my best shot. I enjoyed all of these books immensely, and hope to find more like them in 2014! Continue reading

Marry, Date or Dump: Rainbow Rowell Characters

0

Last year I had never even heard of Rainbow Rowell. This year I read (and loved) all three of her books. Seriously, I think Fangirl is not only my favorite book of the year, but one of my favorite books of all time. I’m delighted to give you a double feature of the male and female leads from each of her books. For the gentlemen, I’m excited to see who you would marry, who you would date and who you would dump when given the option of Levi from Fangirl, Park from Eleanor and Park, and Lincoln from Attachments. For the ladies you can choose between Cather, Eleanor, and Beth from the same novels.

Let me know who you pick in the comments. Also if you have a favorite Rowell novel tell me what it is!

Top Ten Books I Wouldn’t Mind Santa Bringing

toptentuesday

This Tuesday, the weekly book meme sponsored by The Broke and the Bookish asked bloggers to list the top ten books we wouldn’t mind Santa bringing us tomorrow. In case Santa (or my mom) is reading this, I want to fully acknowledge that none of these books were on my gift list, so I don’t expect any of these. That being said, if they happened to appear under the tree tomorrow morning, I’d find space for them on my shelf. Continue reading

Last year I gave you the option of marry, dating or dumping different Santas, this year we are going further down the food chain to the people who make toys in his workshop: the elves. I haven’t exactly made my mind up yet, but I’m excited to see who you would marry, who you would date, and who you would dump when given the options of Hermie the elf, Elf, and elf on the shelf. Let me know on the comments, and whatever your holiday plans are or what you and your family celebrate I hope you all have a lovely week!
