Top Ten Places Books Have Made Me Want to Visit

toptentuesday2

For me books and travel are best when intertwined with each other. When I’m going on vacations, I love to read books set in the places I’m visiting. I’ve also planned a few trips based on books, which have been really fun. Here are a few of the top places books have made me want to visit (even though some of them are fantasy places, so I probably won’t make it there). Let me know yours in the comments!

    • There are so many books that make me want to go to Paris, starting with Madeline and now probably being Anna and Isla’s books. I was lucky enough to go when I was in college and I feel like Hemingway was the author I was thinking of when I was actually there.

  1. Ah, this list rocks.
I seriously considered From the Mixed-Up Files of of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. It was only beat out because it wasn’t so much the place, as the idea of running away and hiding in a big building that hooked me in. I also would love to visit the moors of Wuthering Heights. So gloomy and great!
