Marry, Date or Dump: Love Actually

Love-Actually-Final

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in New York, and I am on my way home to Annapolis to start celebrating the holidays. This invariably means watching Love Actually, and some other holiday movie favorites. I thought it would be fun to see who everyone would marry, date, or dump from the movie. You can pick any of the characters from the film (male or female!), but just to give some guidance for those who want it I’m going to list Colin Firth’s character, Hugh Grant’s character, and Liam Neeson’s character. Let me know who you would marry, who you’d date, and who you’d dump in the comments. Happy Holidays friends!

  1. This one is so HARD!
Definitely marry Daniel. You get Sam in the bargain too just yeah.
I think date Jaime. You could because Colin Firth.
Dump David, not because I don’t love him, but because he IS the PM, and there’s a lot of pressure there, not sure I’m cut out for it.

  2. I agree really hard – If I could make Daniel forget about his first wife than I would marry him if not I would marry Jamie ( again if he loved me passionately dispite a language barrier) – either way I would date David (fun to date the PM and him — not so fun to be first lady.)

  3. One of my favorites!

I would date Jamie — that scene in Portugal makes me cry every time! Date David – because come on — he could get a table anywhere — and that means I would dump Daniel, which is sad because he is so sweet.

  4. I would also marry Jamie-romance movies, sense of humor, loyalty, honesty….what’s not marriage material? I would actually date Mr. In-Love with Keira Knightly because, much as I love Colin Firth, Jamie just seems too understated, passive, and self-deprecating for dating him to be any fun, which is why even in the movie he never really dated. Whereas my guy displays loyalty, passion, creativity, and has a cool job. It’d be fun to date him when he’s not all oppressed. I’d definitely stay away from any prime minister.
