Top Ten Things I Like When It Comes To Romance In Books

toptentuesday

Hi friends, sorry this post is late and that I missed yesterday’s. I have the flu, but there is no way I was going to miss this top ten tuesday topic. I like romance. I like romance novels. I like romance in novels that aren’t really about romance. If a story doesn’t have romance, I will often make up a secret romantic plot between the characters. I even did it when I read Metamorphosis in high school. There are not a lot of things that I dislike in fictional romance, as long as it’s done well or feels captivating to me.* I looked through some of my favorite romantic novels and compiled this list of things that I like best. Let me know in the comments what you like, or don’t like, about romance in books. Also always looking for book suggestions, so lay them on me!

    • Fun! Hope you got some good suggestions. These are some of my favorite. If you haven’t read I’LL GIVE YOU THE SUN, I definitely recommend it in terms of magical realism and just being a great story.

  1. I also love when friends get together. A relationship has a much stronger base when you’ve been friends first, and don’t see one another purely as romantic and sexual partners.
